Trading in Circled Hoops
Last updated October 30, 2026
Trades keep a league talking. A few rules decide when a trade happens and who gets the points that week.
How a trade works
Propose a trade from another team’s roster, and the other manager can accept, decline or counter. You get a notification when an offer comes in, and the League tab marks trades waiting on you. Offers expire after three days.
Review and deadlines
Your league chooses how trades are reviewed: they go through at once, the commissioner approves them, or the league votes. Commissioners can also set a trade deadline, after which no new trades go through.
Trades during the week
A player traded after the lock keeps counting for his old team until the week ends, with the game his old manager circled. He joins your lineup choices from the next week. So a trade made on Tuesday doesn’t change this week’s matchup for either side.
Judging a trade here
Since one game counts per starter, two good players are not automatically worth one great one. You can start only eight. A trade that turns two bench players into a better starter usually helps, as long as you keep enough depth to name backups.
